Have you ever considered adding era selection in free mode?

I do like the idea, however it means we have to have equivalent ships and assets for each of the eras to replace.  We don't quite have that, however it doesn't mean the community can't help to work towards that goal.

Thanks, I have one more question, will ship interiors be in the same physical space as the ship, or they will be separate maps?

I doubt this is actually possible.  In fact a lot of ship's layouts don't match the interior on the show, based on schematics and interior sets.  In addition, the scale and amount of full assets to develop to achieve this would be too immense to put in the game and for our current developers.

As a follow-up question, what kinds of links between the interior and exterior worlds do you plan on implementing? For example, windows in rooms that you can see out of, destructibility (you've blown a hole in ten forward -> room is no longer accessible), shuttlebays?

Regarding era selection and Freeplay mode...

The era of our game is Prime Universe, late-24th Century. We're not focusing on a 22nd or 23rd century setting. However, that doesn't mean starships from earlier centuries will not be playable in Freeplay mode. Indeed, I would expect to see more 23rd century ship classes available with a starting resource unit pool. Remember, Excelsior-class is a 23rd century spaceframe, and is still in service as of late 24th century!
