I'll take another stab at it. How about, the Constitution Class Refit? I'm basing that on the fact that the U.S.S. is following the same arc as the NCC. Whereas the original Constitution class the U.S.S. followed an opposing and lesser arc. Also, the original Constitution Class did not have that kind of detail on it's hull. Lastly, the care in which you took to represent this model as accurately as possible, leans toward something more important than just 'any old starship'. Looks good either way. Looking forward to downloading and commanding it, whatever it may be!

It is roughly 5:00 in the evening here. It would have been released earlier but i had forgotten to convert all the textures to .dds...and upload a TMP wepons pack. And yes i do celebrate Christmas :p

Anyway, Nebula got there first once again, giving a nice 3 points to the Community :) enjoy your christmas cookie Neb! so the last score of 2011 is...

Excalibur Team  12 : Community 9

Lets see if the community can take the lead in 2012 :P

Friday Release #22

WileyCoyote's Miranda Class

So i thought the best ship at christmas time would have to be the Miranda. You have to thank WileyCoyote for his work on this amazing model, and the fact he has once again given me permission to convert one of his models. So in turn i give it to you guys for Christmas. There is also a TMP weapons pack released for this model and the TMP Excelsior Refit from a while back. (I'm afraid i haven't got sound files sorted for them yet.)

Download Here: http://7space.weebly.com/ship-downloads.html

So with that sorted, I wish you all a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and an even better 2012 and as i've never used it..... :spartasanta:

this question comes from the pictures on the Screenshot thread, but since it was about releases i didnt know which one to put it on... i guessed. the question is, are you going to make every ship that was an enterprise have the registry number of that enterprise IE Sovereign Class=1701-E, Ambassador 1701-C and so on, and so fourth?

I must know how to convert my own meshes for the NanoFx viewer instead of MR_7 doing it all of the time.

Okie dokie then. My first 2 releases of next year will be turorials, one on the Model conversion (Milkshape and Blender) and one on Texture conversion (Photoshop). You use 3ds Max so your best bet is to ask one of the Excalibur Team on converting to .x.

Sorry all, i've had no time to convert any models or make any tutorials so far this year. This is just a post to ask if anyone else is having issues with my NanoFX Conversion site. I can't seem to get onto it or fix the problem. Sorry for the inconvinience.

For 3dsmax you can ether use the Panda direct X import/export plugin, or use a program like Deep Exploration to convert .3ds to X. I do the latter because i have Deep Exploration, and there are known issues with the Panda plugin. Deep Exploration saves the X file in text format so you can open with wordpad to edit it if you need to (like changing the texture format from .jpg to .dds). The nano viewer will still open the model even if the X file is saved in text format.

Another useful tool is the direct X model viewer (MView.exe). It can validate your mesh, and fix errors if its not valid.

Hey, MR_7, I was wondering if you'd be interested in porting some Mass Effects models to go with your Normandy!

Alliance Cruiser, SR-2 and fighter

Cerberus Cruiser and fighter

Reaper Destroyer, Dreadnought and Drone

Turian Cruiser and fighter

Geth dreadnought and fighter

They can all be downloaded here
http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showpost.php?p=6030993&postcount=19304

To get an idea of weapons, hull strength and the like I recommend watching the 2 final ME3 battles. For example the Reaper Drone is much weaker than the Collector one in ME2.

I think having full factions from such a popular game will boost interest in further moddng the Viewer.

Yes, yes and yes :D if you have a look on my NanoFX page theres a new page which will host ships without hardpoints. And i have lost alot tof the ships though sheer clumsyness :P if you PM me with a list of the ships you have i'll let you know which ones to send me. Cheers!

I would indeed be very very interested in these, However at the moment media fire seems to be down and i can't download them. If someone else manages to download them tell me and i'll be able to convert them when i get the time :). Thats all dependent on there format as well.

mediafire's back up. I think they're either .obj or .mesh files.
