Forum Theme
« on: August 25, 2011, 01:54:18 AM »
How about we add a nice theme to the forum, we got so many great guys that can  do superb textures and graphics and we can't do a nice theme for the forum ?

I personally quite like this forum theme.  It is clean and to the point. :)  However, feel free to put together some suggestions.  :P

I like it simple , but the  real point is that we can do loads of stuff around here , for instance maybe a semitransparent forum and a star background with excalibur in the background something , i am saying that excalibur is to good and to well developed and to shiny not to have a shiny forum .

I'm a technical bod so probably not the best person to be having this discussion with, best wait and see what the arty folks say. :)

I love the theme as it is. In fact, I think this is one of the best-looking forums I've ever used!

It's only the smilies that I think spoil it, and I know it's been said before. We could really do with some newer-looking ones. Seriously - smily faces here are actually scary! :) :) :) :P

i rather like the current forum theme, personally...
the emoticons are just fine also, IMO...  they serve their purpose; besides too many silly ones can lead to too much spammy nonsense lol :P

I don't mind the theme.  The best theme though was on some boards I was at for years before it finally died.  Not found any that has been better since.  Still though, I like this theme.

My only complaint is that the quick post box stretches way, way off the screen.  lol

Do you not think that its a bit of a web 2002 cliché..

2002?  I was thinking late 90's!  lol

This theme is very efficient, I like how simple it is to use.  I run into issues trying to post sometimes, but for my main reason (I'm more of a lurker) it works very well.  Clean cut and easy to follow.

Though having something shiny to look at while pursuing would be acceptable in my book.

The only thing I'd do to the theme is fix the quick reply box on Chrome (it's very wide).

I'd never noticed that we had a quick reply box before now :D

But yes, on FF6 it stretches off-screen to the right - even though it starts in the right place. This is on a 1920x1080 screen for me, btw.

The only issue I have with the forum is it is mostly white, which kills my eyes at night.

I wouldn't mind a dark theme but I've tryed something similar in the past and it gets old fast.
If there's gonna be a dark theme i suggest it should be stylistically pure.

I know... exactly, how you feel.  Maybe a slightly less painful shade of grey, or silver?
