Holograms and then some more holograms

Not a robot. An android.
Robot (cz 'robota' meaning 'slave', 'serf', or 'labourer') is simply anything that is automated, from a regular factory-arm over a multipedal machine, or even a bipedal box.
But Andoid (gr 'adros' mean 'man', suffix ~oid meaning 'like', thus meaning 'manlike') is a machine that closely resembles a human (or in the term of Star Trek, closely resembles a humanoid). So holograms are in essence virtual androids.
