Yeah Dice have been outdoing themselves recently. Check out the tank gameplay video too, it's 8 minutes long, but it's epic.

I just cannot believe that someone has at last made a game without unreal and from the videos, this looks better than unreal

You obviously haven't seen Crysis or Crysis 2, powered by the CryEngine 2 and 3. Of course it can't quite match the destruction in Frostbite 2 (the engine for BF3) but in every other way it's just as impressive.

It is truly amazing!  The speed at which technology is moving at!  These engines are awesome.  I have seen the CryEngine 3 engine before, bit it still looks awesome!  Watching the tools that dev is working with to create trees and terrain was amazing!

Yep, it is only a matte of time when a StarTrek games is released from this.  For now, we have ST:E.  That will satisfy my hunger for an immersive Star Trek game.  If not, I will make it one.   #loveFFX#

I wonder if there'll be a mod or rerelease of BF2142 with that engine. This'd rock...

DICE has always used their own engines, same thing with Crytek.

I love the battlefield games, the 1942 was a bit rough but after that they improved rapidly.  Frostbite 2 is also being used in the new need for speed game :D

I've been wondering the same thing.  Here's hoping they make BF 2143.

I believe all EA titles are "boycotted" on Steam, due to a disagreement between EA and Steam. Instead, all EA titles will be available on their own "Origin" system.

yes, which is why I wont be buying it yet. Give EA about 6 months and they will stick it on Steam anyway.

Too bad people dont boycott both companies.  Both are sleezy, and in the end, bsd for the industry...but awesome engine nonetheless.

I don't stick with steam because of ideals - its a lot easier to be able to sign in to a single account and download any game you own and know that it's bang up to date. Having said that, I think Steam has done a heck of a lot to open up the PC Gaming market to indie developers, and that's no bad thing.
