I must be the only person who liked the Movie.
And still, I consider myself a Trekkie.
You are not alone, but I didn't like it as a Trek movie, though I didn't realize it until a while after I had seen it. It's a great sci-fi action film, but it's not a Trek film, there isn't some observation about humanity or anything like that, it's just a simple action movie. If you think about every other Trek movie there has always been a message of some sort (I have no idea what the message was for the motion picture, except perhaps that padding is bad), Wrath of Khan was about aging (Kirk specifically) and all the things you can miss out on if you put your career first, the Search for Spock was about friendship, Voyage Home was about not taking biodiversity for granted and about owning up to ones choices (as Kirk did at the end), the Final Frontier was about the nature of faith (possibly, that movie is painful to think about), Undiscovered Country was about forgiving enemies for past acts and forging a brighter future though peace. Generations was also about growing old and about dealing with loss (both Picard and Soren), First Contact was about dealing with the urge for revenge (only really applies to Picard) as well as living up to others opinions of you (Cochrane), Insurrection was (again) about growing old but also about seizing opportunities, and Nemesis was about looking at the path your life has taken and seeing what could have been (Picard and Data).
But Star Trek XI didn't really have any of that, you could say that it was about Kirk getting over the loss of his father, but that was really over in the first 20 minutes, and the stuff with Spock and Sarek barely total 5 minutes of screen time. Nero's motivation for destroying the Federation was reasonable (as reasonable as uncontrollable rage ever is) but there wasn't anything learned by the protagonists so it doesn't count as a message or theme.
Keep in mind that I'm writing off the top of my head, all these films may have other messages or themes that I've missed, but if I don't remember them just by thinking about the film then they can't have been that strong or meaningful.
tl:dr version: Trek XI is a good film, but not a good Trek film.
OT: apart from that somewhat suspect concept art, I'm actually optimistic about the first Trek FPS since Elite Force 2, though I reserve the right to talk trash about it if the gameplay doesn't live up to Trek's potential.
