Old topic but I'll join in; the WC Proteus. It's just got such sleek lines! However, I would scrap the slipstream drive; I'm a warp man.

Hmm, looks like a very streamlined continuation of the Akira line, not as sure about the deflector but it's hardly bad. I would love to give that ship a try.

It can take on four stock BC Keldons and not take a scratch. I think it's a one of a kind vessel, having three rapid fire fore torpedo launchers - capable of three rounds of firing before reload (odd number, I know) - and two aft (I think).
I really feel like making a bridge for it... I just don't know enough scripting to be able to get one up and running. :(

Actually, it was a mix of the Dauntless and the Akira. Either that was a good guess, or you read the comments at the bottom of the linked page!

I love the deflector, it looks better than a "satellite dish" like the Enterprise A! :P
In fact, it looks like the logical progression for deflector design from the Enterprise D... Shame they changed it with the Sovereign.

Nah, just had a quick look at the pics then closed the tab.

Well the deflector on the Sovereign certainly could be more streamlined, that's for sure, but they probably didn't want to change it too much, might have scared people out of the movie theater :P.

Here's my Ent-F entry. Honestly, it was an old design I polished a bit and to which I created a front and top view. By volume this would be far more than 4 times larger.

Here's the current top.

I posted that version at Scifi-meshes.com, and I posted the original version, with a completely different bow, here.

Good God Major... That ship is massive.  Do you have a Bio worked out for it?  If you do could you link it, I'm rather curious how you would work something like that into the fiction.

It's history is evolving as I redesign the hull. The pointy one might eventually have a specialized bow emitter that the top and bottom phaser arrays converge to, and several torpedo turrets in two styles.  One has three tubes which fire a special three stage torpedo design capable of going to warp from an impulse launch. Each of those tubes can also fire bursts of three conventional torpedoes each. The latter turret is a single tube in the Galaxy style of launcher, but expanded to fire ten or twenty torpedoes.  Then there are the fixed tubes and those short secondary arrays. I've decided they're subspace compressors, as I currently imagine them they might be shrink rays. :D But, just think of them as beam arrays which far higher energy density, thus their shortness. Instead of RCS thrusters, I'm thinking of giving it impulse engines in every direction.

As for the history of why it was built. Way, way back I originally drew the profile image for a fan fiction about a multi-universal transtime Federation fighting a similarly multidimensional Borg. The ship was pretty much that Trekverse's Voyager, captained by Janeway, and it was probably nine kilometers long, equipped with temporal flak, planet popping phaser analogs, quantum slipstream, and the ability to turn on a dime.

The STO competition came around, so I cleaned up the profile, and created a top and front view.

No seemed to really appreciate the top view. People seemed to like the nacelles. I love them in their original dark gray.

Anyway, thanks to the STO competition, it gave me the idea that the Serendipity is a post Dominion War ship built for unforeseeable future conflicts.  In my version of things, while the Federation does shrink the fleet post-war, it doesn't completely revert to a fleet of exploration with a dying defense force. Instead, they do go back to exploring, but they gradually make the defense fleets as purpose built and up to date as possible.  The exploration and science ships are all also better armed.

The Serendipity is the first pure combat design capable of acting as a fleet's centerpiece. It's the Federation's first true battleship.  The hope is for the Serendipity to face the threats now believed to be inevitably encountered, no matter what actions are taken.

There are two generations of the ship, a pure warp version (the STO version) and a quantum slipstream version (the dagger bow). Also, while both are huge, I think it may still be below the D'Deridex's volume.
I'm on a pig.

Now, it's diamonds.
