Specular maps will have the same bumps like the normal ones?

Specular is affected by normal maps, simply because specular is the amount of shine for a particular spot for a particular angle between the viewer, the normal and the light. So if you change the normal (say, through a normal map), then you affect the specular effect.

I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

Indeed, that's why I was confused by the question.

Whel I was curious about if the models have a "glow" or normal and a separate specular teture as well, like in BC and if those separate speculars will have every detail like bump maps, but it is clear now from your answers. :D

*Whistles* You guys sure dialed up the notch to 11. That Oberth looks flat out gorgeous. Heh, can't wait to see how it all comes together. It's really fun watching something be developed, and listening to all the plans, thoughts, hurdles and fixes. Thanks for letting us in so much on the project like this ^^.

I agree that it is rare that game developers let the public know about all these little things that go into the game, which is just one more thing that makes developing this project fun for us... public feedback!  Hearing your comments only motivates me to work as much as I can on it :)

Well in this case, let me just repeat what I have said before and will again:
You guys are doing an awesome job. You are developing one of the best looking Space Sims (and Firt person shooter, we havn't seen much of, but judging by what you have given us so far will also be huge) on the market right now. And instead of charging us well deserved money, you give it away for free.
So, summed up: Please continue doing the great job you have done till now. You make saturday an even better day in the week. (not speaking of the day it will be released)

I'm sure it was awesome, whatever everybody was gushing about, but the link doesn't seem to be working anymore.

Don't stop working on the game on my account, but it would be great if I could just see what they are all talking about. Maybe a link to a new site or youtube or something.

Thanks.

When the front page was altered, all the preview links disappeared. There was loads of stuff, I'm surprised it was taken down.
