I might be able to volunteer for this role - While my Python is a bit rusty these days, I have a good understanding of OOP and event models - i spend most of my programming time working with the flash AS3 language (Similar to JAVA in it's structure.). That is to say, i could do your UI, but it would take a little while, as it would, of course (Presumably like everybody here?), be only in my spare time.
So yes, i'd like to have a go, more details on exactly what is needed would be useful - as well as direction towards the applicable reading material for project or engine-specific information i will need. Do you actually have some sort of cunning plan regarding exactly what you need?
Thanks!

Hello,

I heard of you guys on Hailing Frequencies. I would be willing to script. I have been a computer programmer for 2 years, working mainty with an ancient language. (RPG). But I also have experience with Visual Basic, C# and unfortunately ADO.net. My education consists of an Associates from Rhodes State College. I have never worked with Python scripts, but I have never seen a launguage that I could not handle. :) . So I would ask for your consideration. I also have worked with the Gamer Maker program, so gaming mechanics is not foreign to me. I look forward to working with you. Thank You.

Thanks for the interest thus far, I also have a couple of people on another list who are also interested.

After university has calmed down a little, I will get in touch with everybody who has posted here and explain a little about the engine structure and show you some of the code generating a user interface. :-)

In danger of sounding like a slightly inferior echo of the previous poster - thanks!

Wait... if Evolved is the game engine you're building this on, what else would you have written it for? XD

lol, yes as LC has stated, it's complicated and takes a bit of explaining on the history of the Game Engine.

In short though... my Model Viewer that I developed originally is the primary experimental playground I use to develop rendering techniques.  Once that is done it's not too hard to port the technique over to the NanoFX-Evolved Engine and finalize it...  think of it as a Rough Draft and Final Draft.

Simrex linked me to this last month, but since school's over I can join in. I'm familiar with Python, I know OOP-oriented programming (also, good with Java & C++) and have practice with Event-driven programming with Java and Python (by way of BC).

If it's not too late, I'd like to volunteer.

Nope, not too late. :-)  In about 1 month (if all goes well) we should be ready. :-)
